Watchu know bout dat Nunu?! #vanillaicecream #metzcal #chocolatesauce #eeeeeats #bwaybites (at Broadway Bites By Urbanspace)
My 100th post!! This is a super sweet treat — good for breakfast or dessert! Double chocolate chip scones with candied mango. Absolute deliciousness!
Oh wait there’s more…
It’s not like I was going to go and not try to eat everything. Let’s start with Dough… Amazing donuts and worth the $2.75 — these things are massive and there are lots of options. Three of us couldn’t even finish one donut but for what I had I must say it was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. I don’t think they are made on the spot but they taste bakery fresh. The flavors really stand out to make a lasting impression. Next, pulled pork sliders —- yuuuuuuuuuum. The smoky flavors mixed with fresh veggies and the killer bun really pulled me in. Keeping with my southern theme for this portion of the eating extravaganza we moved onto cheesy, jalapeño cornbread. Such a great marriage of sweet cornbread, aged cheddar and spicy jalapeño.
And now introducing the BRUFFIN!! Clearly thinking it was a simple breakfast muffin was a huge mistake. With over 10 mouthwatering combinations I was hooked on every word coming out of the creators mouth. Flaky croissant filled with ingredients from all over the world — paying homage to my college roots we had the American special which was BUFFALO chicken. You have to be severely sick in the head if you turn down a Bruffin because they are a gem of the Smorgasburg smorgasbord. Do not walk away and think there will be any left when you return… No no, grab them while they are hot and enjoy the experience.
Smorgasburg!!!! What a successful day — tried some amazing food and had a fabulous day. It all started with the Ramen Burger. The hype is 100% real — worth the wait if there is one. Great quality burger with a compact ramen noodle bun and infused with Asian flavors. Next, we moved on to spicy tuna tacos complete with sliced radish to give it that extra bite. The tuna was fresh and the rice taco have it that extra crunch I was looking for. Keeping with the Asian theme; the AsiaDog was next. A beef hot dog topped with my all-time favorite food: kimchi and salty nori. Lastly, it was time for dessert! Pretzels covered in chocolate and chunks of bacon that was the perfect combo of sweet and salty followed by a heavenly red velvet cloud coated in white chocolate and filled with a creamy dream-like substance. Absolutely a must if you are in the Brooklyn area!! I cannot wait until it is outside again so I can try more and more of NYs finest foods.
